Sorry, I don't have any info on Matilda Ziegler BUT.... I am also a decendant of JA Steinbach of Wimmeneau -Alsace 1789.
My great grandmother was Susanna Magdalena Steinbach ,she married Simon Lebrecht Liese in Quincy,Illinois January 21,1877. Her mother was Marie Rebecca Schied(12-8-1825)in Economy,Ohio she died in Quincy,Illinois(8-19-1879) Married Phillip Steinbach (second husband and brother of her first husband who was John Adam Steinbach .My record indicate that Sophia was the sister of Phillip Steinbach. Sophia DOB November 16,1818.

I hop all this makes sense. I got excited when the name Steinbach came up.
