Well hello again Zieglers,
I've now made substantial progress with my gg-Uncle Edward Ziegler, with the help of a very kind soul on the Medina, OH forum! So here are some additional names to hopefully ring a bell with some of you:
1) Edward C. and Bertha Young Ziegler, both from Shelby
Co., OH, moved to Medina, OH in 1904,
where Edward ran a dry goods store.
(Edward and Bertha m. 1/13/1891.)
2) Harold Young Ziegler, b. 1892, Sidney, OH;
m. Lucille H. _____ of Smithville, OH.
Harold ran the Ziegler Dept. Store in
Medina from 1928 (Edward's death) until
1945. Harold d. 1979.
3) Charles Edward Ziegler, 5/3/1919-11/17
/2008.
4) Jeff Ziegler.
3) Richard L. Ziegler, 4/16/1921-2/15/2002
<Charles, Richard and Jeff joined Harold
in running the store.>
3)Mary Ziegler Stewart, living in Baltimore
MD at least by 1979.
2) Bertha Kathleen Ziegler Eastwood, b. ca 1910,
Medina, OH. Known by Kathleen.
(Dates for Charles and Richard are speculative. Similarly,
Kathleen may have d. 3/1971 in Punta Gorda, FL.)
According to various obituaries of the above, there are at least 6 more members of generation 4), and 10 generation
5). So someone out there should come from these folks!!
