Frankie Muree Zeigler passed away on May 13, 2006 in Ft. Myers, FL following a brief illness. She was a resident of Round Lake for many years until moving to Big Pine Key, FL where she lived for the past 34 years. Frankie was born in New York on August 18, 1930. For many years, she and her husband, William J. Zeigler, operated William Zeigler & Son, Inc. in Round Lake. Frankie is survived by her daughter Carol (Brad) Price; her sons Mark, Kurt and William (Xiao); her daughter-in-law Joyce; her grandchildren Sunday (John), Paige (Scott), Summer, Brandon and William; her great-grandchildren Cannon and Nevada; eight nieces and nephews; her longtime friends Captain Phil Case and Sally Mikal; hundreds of others who would attest to her unique quality of making everyone feel special. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Gladys Cannon, her husband William J. Zeigler, her son Lon R. Cannon, her grandson Jacob DeFever, her sister Lorena Spooner, her brother Joseph Newell, and her dear friend Norma Oettle. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. Friends of the family may visit from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Internment will be held immediately following the service at Lakeside Cemetery in Libertyville.
