Seeking relatives of this family or information. They lived at 217 W. Ninth ST., Devils Lake, ND. I believe the house is still there.
John Welk b.about 1878
Martha (Singer) Welk b.about 1884
Children:
Mary Agnes (called Agnes) b.1907
Joseph (aka Punchy) b.about 1909
John E. b.about 1911
Dorothy b.about 1913
Frances C. b. abt. 1916
John and Martha were Germans from Russia and came to the U.S. about 1888.
Agnes married Edwin Zeigler. They are my grandparents. They had eight living children when they came to Oregon sometime between 1941 and 1944. The youngest child was born in Oregon.
Frances C. married Frank Eisenzimmer of ND and lived in Portland, OR. Uncle Frank (owned or managed) a Piggly Wiggly grocery store in Portland.
Please help me connect the branches of my family tree!
