valentine neiman fassold, ancestor of this family, had 5 children; valentine, casper and 3 daughters who came to america in 1781. casper and wf. maria dorothea had children born in whitehall twp., elizabeth, 1797 and catharine, 1798. valetine fassold was born in germany, dec. 6, 1765.army vet. he died in northumberland co., nov. 16, 1824. member of the lutheran ch. in augustaville where he is buried. he married christina xander and had 6 children; susanna, 1798 married abraham wolf, mary elizabeth, 1799 married henry dornsife, john of richmond, ind., and 3 that died in infancy.
henry frey, civil war vet. of weisenberg twp., born jan. 10, 1839 at fogelsville in upper macungie twp. he married priscilla xander, d/o jonathan, and they had 5 children; mary jane married william laudenslager, george w., married allena wetzel, eugene married louisa bertolet, charles married emma wisser and milton died in infancy. his wife died jan. 14, 1913, age 76.
