October 27, 2009 Austin Ray Williams Jr. Published: 10/23/2009 [I saw in 10/27/09 paper] Austin Ray Williams Jr. (Oct. 22, 2009) Austin Ray Williams Jr. of Madisonville, passed away at 2:10 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22, at Sweetwater Hospital. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, one of God's servants who was always a kind and generous friend. He was loved by all who knew him and was a member of Hopewell Springs Baptist Church and Vonore Masonic Lodge #658. He was retired from TVA, after having worked for 33 years. He was 65. Preceded in death by: father, Austin Ray Williams Sr. Survivors include: beloved wife-Lorene McClung Williams; Daughters and son-in-law-Kathy and Mark Krueger of Watkinsville, Ga.; and Amy Williams of Knoxville; Granddaughter-Samantha Krueger of Watkinsville; Mother-Mildred Williams of Tellico Plains; Sister and brother-in-law-Faye and John Quilty of Dalton, Ga.; Brother and sister-in-law-Gary and Terri Williams of Tellico Plains; Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law-Jackie and Novella McClung of Boiling Spring, N.C.; Doris and Ralph Mathews, Bob and Diane McClung, all of Madisonville; and Joyce Jackson of Nashville; Mother-in-law-Christine McClung of Madisonville; Loved by several nieces and nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Monday, in Biereley-Hale Chapel with Rev. Bill White and Rev. Dwight Torbett officiating. Interment will be Haven Hill Memorial Gardens Inc. Memorial donations may be made to Hopewell Springs Baptist Church. Masonic service will be 8:30 p.m., Sunday. Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Sunday.
