William and Nancy had a total of nine children, we believe. They had five sons and two daughters, based on the 1800 census. They had an additional son and another daughter born after 1800. The names of three males born beforea 1800 are known with these dates of birth: Leroy (c1791), Andrew (c1794), Jonathan (1797). One son Benjamin, who died before Jan 1809 and had a daughter about age 7, is assumed to be one of these four, born perhaps c1784. The name or date of birth of the other son is unknown at this time; following the naming patterns of the family, he was perhaps William, but this is conjecture. The known female of the 1800 census is Margaret (c1783)who married Hinton Hill; they probably moved to GA; she was likely their first child. The other daughter born prior to 1800 is currently unknown. Two children were born after 1800 -- Walter, nicknamed Wattie, in 1801 and Elizabeth, who married Samuel McMurray, in 1805. If you have possibilies as to the unknown children, please advise!
