This is new info to me..and will perhaps help someone else or my cousins may be interested.
Because of a gravestone photo recently submitted to Surry Co VA gen site, I have learned of a marriage (another marriage) between my Coleman and Willard families.
This has lead me to discovery some new things about the line of James Willard-Elizabeth Collings of the//Allen Willard-Nancy Hutchins families; Allen being the son of Augustin.
William R Coleman b 1868 Carroll Co Va..married Laura Willard, dau of Sally A Willard. There is a triple gravestone for the three of them at the John Wesley Hill Cemetery in Surry Co NC.
Sally A Willard, according to census records, is the unmarried daughter of James Willard and Eliz. Collings.
She had two children, Laura Willard b 1871 and Jerry M Willard b 1870.
I found the death record for Laura Willard which shows Sally A Willard is her mother and her father to be a Willie Fardell/Fardall.
Laura Willard's husband William R Coleman died young in 1899. They had one child, Elvis Bertice Willard born abt.1897. He was the informant for the death record of his mother Laura. E. B. Willard married before the 1920 census, a woman named Nevada..have not yet found her last name.
William R Coleman is the son of my direct ancestors, Buford Calhoun Coleman and Margret J Willard. Margret is the dau of William Willard who married Mary Ann Gray.
As William (b circa 1820) is the son of a Jackson Willard (per Wms death record)....and my family had a photo of a Jerry Willard, likely be the Jerry Willard mentioned above Then my William would likely be the son of Allen Willard and Nancy Hutchins or possibly Jonathan Willard both sons of Augustin Willard. There were two Willard men nicknamed Jack. I'm told that Jonathan Willard (son of Augustin) was called Jack and that Allen Willard (married Hutchins) may have had middle name Jackson, as his son James was sometimes called Ole Man Jack.
