In going through some pictures my mother left me, I discovered a very lightly written notation that identified two tykes in a photo as AMY and HARRIET POWERS.
I AM NOT TRYING TO SELL THIS PICTURE! I WILL EMAIL A SCANNED COPY TO INTERESTED PARTIES FOR FREE. (Sorry, it really bugs me when I see posts about about a photo only to find out that I can buy it for *only* $15 or $20. I know it is how some people make a living but it still bugs me!)
Now, then. The picture was taken around 1920 at Pierson Studio, Greenfield, Indiana. I'm guessing at the date because it looks like Harriet still needs Amy's help to sit up. Catherine Amy (b. July 1, 1915) married John Roney in 1948 and Harriett (b. October 8, 1919) married Paul Briles in 1946. Other descendant surnames include Huber, Haverstock, and Willard.
If there is a descendant or relative of these two adorable little girls that would like a copy of this picture, please email me and I'll happily send you a copy.
