Thanks for responding. Multiple records exist in different places for the Mather descendants of the Masons and Whitings. They are shown in Ontario, NY, Binghampton NY, Amherst MA, and Great Barrington, MA. I wonder whether these multiple records are because of religious disputes in the Presbyterian Church, or if there actually were multiple weddings and christenings to satisfy wealthy relatives and ensure inheritances...
