When my Aunt Louise Whiting Gillespie and Robert Nims did their genealogy, they said that the father of Nathaniel was Timothy [brother of Nathaniel (1st)] beause the information they had stated that Nathaniel(1)
married "Heath" and had no issue....true, but accorrding to the "history of Horspole Grange" Nathaniel inherited from his father Nathaniel, sold the property, came to New England and married Hannah Dwight.
[note: his brother timothy also had a son Nathaniel, but he remained in England]
*the ( ) numbers are mine for the sake o clarity.
