I found this whilst looking for the 'Whiting' family in NZ. Can anyone tellme who Charles was the son of?
Caroline Whitting was found guilty of Wilfully Murdering her 3 children - Frederick aged 8, Charles aged 5 and John aged 10 months - by drowning them in the Waikiwi River (or Waikivi) October 22nd 1872. Caroline was the wife of Charles Whitting.
I am left wondering what became of Charles (Snr) after the devasting lose of his family. Caroline was sentence to death but was not hang.
