Looking for anyone descended from Joseph Wentworth and his wife Sarah Holloway(Halloway).
Joseph was born 29 January 1775 and died 6 July 1822, both in New York. He was the son of Col. Samuel Wentworth of Bermuda and Frances Many of New York. He was left in the care of his aunt while his parents went to Bermuda and unfortunately they both passed away while gone. He married Sarah Holloway, 18 September 1798 in New York. Sarah was the daughter of Richard Holloway and Sarah Ver Wey, born in New York 19 August 1778.
They had the following children:
1. Sarah; born 22 February 1799; died 10 September 1833
2. Frances Many; born 14 December 1800; died 1832
3. Samuel Wentworth; born 18 May 1803; died 25 August 1804
4. Samuel Richard; born 10 May 1805; died 30 November 1806
5. Jane Elizabeth; born 10 May 1805; died 3 October 1829
6. Francis Many; born 1 February 1807
7. Richard Halloway; born 11 January 1809; married Mary Harris Lyons; had heirs
8. Peter Spranger; born 3 April 1811; died 5 June 1846
9. Catherine Ann; born 13 August 1813
10. Samuel Mabbatt; born 17 March 1816; married Mary Elizabeth Arment; married second Mary Janee McFarland; had heirs
11. William Joseph; born 21 February 1818; died 1 January 1825
12. Isabella Lee; born 12 July 1820
The last child Isabella Lee Wentworth is named after Sarah's sister Isabelle Holloway who married Charles Lee. I am descended from Isabella and Charles. I have some information on the family of Richard Hollway and Sarah Ver Wey and quite a bit on the ancestors of Sarah Ver Wey. Trying to track down Richard Holloway's place of birth though. Hoping to correspond with someone descended through Joseph and Sarah Wentworth.
