Hello!

I was recently on Genealogy.com looking at the Wehr forum and came upon post of yours which asked if anyone was interested in obtaining a copy of the Wehr Family Book to contact you. My dad recently came to visit me while I am stationed in MI with the US Coast Guard and brought me some information on our EXTENDED family. Which I did not realize how really extended our Wehr surname is! In short I am from the Wehr family residing in Youngstown, OH. According to the info I have, Simon Wehr a grandson of the first Simon Wehr, the first Wehr to set foot in America in 1740, settled the Youngstown Wehr's.

I am very much interested in connecting this Simon Wehr to the rest of the Youngstown Wehr's and from the documents my dad gave me Lorenz Wehr is Simon's father who served in the Revoultionary War as a patriot. I am also trying to establish a direct lineage between Lorenz Wehr and myself so that I may eligible to become a member of the Sons of the American Revoultion.

Thanks everyone!

Dan Wehr
