I may have Esther Graesly's parents figured out. What do you think?

I found a record for a Johannes and Catharine Gresl˙ who were married in 1811. Her maiden name was Ettinger. Anyway, the thought occured to me that Johannes would be the right age to have been Esther's brother. So I looked for a record of a Johannes Graesly being born around the same time range as Esther, and I found one in the records for the Lowhill Reformed Church. Lowhill is the neighboring township, just to the south of Heidelberg. Anyway, he was born Feb. 18, 1794 and his parents were Johannes Graesly and Catharina. So that's two generations in a row of Johannes Graesly's marrying a woman by the name of Catharina. I have not been able to find any other instances of a Johannes Graesly (or alternate spellings), who is married to a Catharina, who lived in the same general area, at the same general time. So I am reasonably certain that the Johannes and Catharina "Kressly", who were sponsors of Philip and Esther Wehr's child Levi, must have been been either one of these two Johannes and Catharina's. I would bet that the Johannes and Catharina who were Levi's sponsors, were Esther's parents. Levi was the first born child. It was a common practice for the wife's parents to stand as sponsors at the first child's baptism. If not Esther's parents, the next likely scenario would be that the sponsors were Esther's brother and his wife. Either way, that still makes Esther's parents Johannes Graesly and his wife Catharina.

Obviously, it is possible that Johannes and Catharina could have been an uncle and aunt or a cousin and his wife, but neither of those scenarios rings true with me. What do you think? I'm going to keep trying to find more definitive proof, but I think I'm on to something here.

Anyone care to chime in?
