My father's father, grandfather and great grandfather are all Washburns born in Bracken Co., KY. The earliest one I can find is Eli Thomas Washburn, born 1830. Maybe your John Washburn is the father of Eli or at least related. Eli had nine children born in Bracken Co., which is next to Mason Co. My parents were married in Mason Co. Maybe we can share data if you feel what I have is related to John.
