Evidence found concerning the Throneburg families and where they lived and their occupation points toward Frederick A. Throneburg being the son of Leonard Throneburg/Thornburg, brother to Daniel Throneburg, sons of Frederick David Tranberg/Throneburg. Both Leonard and George Throneburg families lived in Catawba County in 1840's and so did Frederick A. These were the only Throneburg families in Catawba County at this time......Court records and census records prove that they were there at this time George was not married until 1822 and Frederick A. was born abt. 1819....thus placing him as most likely Leonard's son who was married in 1817 in Wilkes County and then found in CAtawba census 1820,1830, 1840....then in Tn. in 1850,1860. Leonard was a shoemaker and so was Frederick A. Frederick A. would have been named after his grandfather Frederick Ambrosius Tranberg/Throneberg. Leonard left Catawba in ~1847.....Frederick A. was married at that time to a Catawba woman and they stayed in Catawba County. Notify Administrator about this message?
