Mike: Does your Kendal family include a John Thornborough, son of Robert, born abt 1854 and married to Alice? I am trying to connect this family back to my 4ggfather John Thornborough, born c1809, parents unknown. His Royal Navy papers have a reference to Thomas and Agnes, but no relationship or surname is given.
