I have my husband's descent from the Thornburgh-Wells connection and I seem to remember that James Wells was named guardian of some of the Thornburgh children in Northumberland County on the Northern Neck of Virginia, and that this is the basis for assuming that Ann Thornburgh married James Wells. One of the Wells daughters, Patience, married a man names Michael Maguire and went to Cambria Coubty, PA with a large Catholic settlement
