Manchester Union Leader June Letson, 81, of Manchester died February 9, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A lifelong resident of Manchester, she was born here on June 28, 1927, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Travis) Therrien. June was educated in the Manchester parochial school system and received a nursing degree from the Sacred Heart School of Nursing in December of 1947. June was a dedicated health care professional for 35 years. She was employed as an RN at the former Sacred Heart Hospital and then at Catholic Medical Center. A specialist in emergency room care, she retired as Nurse Manager of the Emergency Department in 1985. After retiring she often traveled with her husband Charles, visiting friends and family around the country. June was devoted to her family. She enjoyed spending time with them and friends and was especially fond of the many summer vacations at Newfound and Suncook Lakes. Her favorite hobbies including knitting, reading, crossword puzzles and managing the family football pool. She was very proud of her many grandchildren and loved them with all her heart. She leaves her husband of 57 years, Charles Letson Sr. of Manchester, four daughters: Marilyn Lambert and her husband Paul of Auburn, Margaret Lambert and her husband Ronald of Auburn, Mary Paradise and her husband Alan of Pittsfield, Donna Larochelle and her husband Albert of Manchester, two sons: Charles Letson Jr. and his wife Lynn of Manchester, John Letson and his wife Heather of Manchester, grandchildren: Jessica (Letson) Smith and husband Mike, Jennifer Letson, Thaurin, Shelby and Bryce Paradise, Melissa, Angela and Sarah Lambert, Christopher and Julie Larochelle, Ian and Colin Letson, a great grandchild Parker Smith, four sisters: Gloria Huot and her husband Donald, Marian Wichert and her husband John, Dorothy Demers, all of Manchester and Bernadette Richotte and husband Francis of Auburn, a brother James Therrien and wife Ann of Manchester, as well as many nieces and nephews with whom she shared very special relationships. She was pre-deceased by two brothers Gerard and Joseph Therrien Jr. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Pius X Church, Candia Rd. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bedford.
