I have information on Smauel Richardson Hibbard, son of John Hibbard and Mary Armstrong of Brandon, Lac Maskinonge. His sister Sarah married into my husband's Dunn family. In researching over the last 10 years, I have found many of the people from that area were baptized at St. Cuthberts or St. Joseph's Maskinonge. The Hibbards were not Catholic, I have found many of the records at Christ Church William/Henry formally Sorel. In 1822 many of the Anglicans were received into the Protestant Church by C.S. Williams a minister of Riviere du Loup, Maskinonge,I don't have the Film #. It was early on in my research and I afraid I didn't always put my source. I visited lac Maskinonge and on the monument of the original settlers there is a Samuel Hibbard.
