I have a brochure on the Sinking Spring Cemetery; site #14:

"Lewis Preston Summers was a U.S. District Attorney and an avid historian. He wrote 'The Annals of Southwest Virginia,' 'The History of Southwest Virginia 1746-1786),' and the 'History of Washington County, 1777-1870.' One hundred years later these books are aprimary reference for students of local history. His wife Annie Katherine Barbee Summers and children, including son Andrew Rowan Summers, are buried nearby. Andrew Summers was a lawyer-turned-musicologist who inspired by local folk musicians to revive and popularize the playing of the plucked dulcimer. He made recordings for Folkway Records in the 1950s."

I am not researching these people and have no further information.
