Summers family of Chariton & Macon Co., MO

I found a marriage record which I'm looking for additional information on and hope some one can shed some light to it.

Chariton Co., MO Marriages
John Whiteaker / Whitaker married Miss Martha Summers on 12 Jan 1851 in Chariton Co., MO by Eliphaz Shelton, J.P.

I'm trying to figure out who both of these person are???

I have Whiteaker / Whitaker families in Randolph / Macon and Chariton Co., MO and believe they are all tied.

I think this Martha Summers might be the daughter of John Isaac Summers and Julia Ann Patrick listed in the 1850 Bee Branch Twp., Chariton Co., MO census.

Does anyone have any information on this Martha? Did both her and John die and how come I can't find them in any census after this marriage date?
