Mahala Strunk Wilson married James Manuel Wilson. Both are buried at the Wilson Cemetery, Scott Co., TN. James died of disease Feb 28, 1862, while serving in the Union Army during the Civil War. An equal trajedy had befallen this family when a son, Manuel Wilson, died less than a month prior also of disease while serving in the Army. Mahala married John Rice in 1864. He was killed in a saloon fight. In 1866, Mahala married Edward Butler.
