I read your message of the above tittle and think we must be related. ? How.
My Great grandfather James Stokes came from Askeaton Limerick and was born in 1844 from the records that l have, his parents were Michael Stokes and Mary Hackett. He married twice in Australia. I don't have much more information than that but would be grateful for any that you might have and willing to share in regard to his family in Ireland etc.
