James Stokes married 1837 to Bridget Cusack (Kilcornan & Stonehall RC) Children were Bridget & Hanora b. 1838,John b.1840, Thomas b.1845 and ellen b.1849.All in Kildimo parish.
Hanora married Michael Carroll in 1856 in Cappagh.
Bridget Cusack b.1803 in St Mary's Limerick and parents were Thomas Cusack and Bridget Brien.
I'm looking for the birth place of James Stokes possibally from 1800-1809 .There are seven records on the IG website and six of these are for Co.louth.His father could be John, Michael or Thomas going by the names of his sons.As his second wife's father was Thomas it could be Michael or John.
James born 1804 in Darver parish to John Stokes and Ann Lennan.
If James b.1804 is my James then other possible siblings are Mary b.1801,William b.1802,Rose b.1811,Catherine b.1813,John b.1814 all in Darver Parish Co. Louth to John Stokes. Finding record of his marriage to Ann Lennan is also proving difficult...
The area's of Kildimo,Kilkornan,Cappagh and Askeaton are all fairly close together and there are a lot of Stoke families there.Not including the above there are :

The birth dates range from 1827 to 1852 25 years. There seems to be two James Stokes in the area at the one time and as my James could be from Co.Louth the others may be related i.e brothers and my James could be a cousin who married a girl from Limerick and moved down.Fitzgerald in a very common name in the area also which is his 1st wife's name.
