Eight years later, same query with a little more information:
Is anyone connected to Montmorency Durant Stokes of London (1809-8 Aug 1861)? Montmorency married Maryanne Brandon on 8 Feb. 1845. They had Arthur, Montmorency Brandon, Lydia, Adelaide, Katherine, Charles William, Herbert and Maryanne. They were both killed an a house fire and the children were orphaned and eventually made their way to Australia, New Zealand, America and a few stayed in England. I have made a few contacts with the Brandon family and one Stokes relative in Australia and a very helpful gentleman in England, but have never gotten back further than Montmorency's father John Stokes (of whom I know absolutely nothing about). Any help or connection would be greatly appreciated.
