Hi Caroline,

Freeman Lee Stokes was the half-brother to my husband's gg grandfather Frederick Davis Stokes. Frederick's son William Joel Stokes was my husband's great grandfather and his son Joseph Harold Stokes was my husband's grandfather. His daughter Sandra Stokes was my husband's mother. My husband took the Stokes name from her when he was born. We do not know anything about his father's side of the family. I will be happy to share any information I have with you.
