Hi All,
I am currently reaserching the line of the my 'Kent' family, and have got back to my Great x4 Grandfather John Kent, whom from the census i have as born approx 1778 in Halesworth, Suffolk, England. His wifes name was Sarah, and i have found on the IGI a marriage for a Sarah Stannard on 12 Jun 1804 in Halesworth to a John Kent, which fits nicely with the approx DoB for John 1st child listed on the census, so i am reasonably happy that this is my John & Sarah.
Sarah died in 1843 in Cranham, Essex and her Death certificate lists her age as 62, making 1781 as birth year of birth. The 1841 census gives an age of 55 (1786). From the IGI i have found a Sarah born 1783 in Halesworth which fits nicely between the 2 reference point i have for her birth, and gives her parents as William Stannard and Ann Mills. Another IGI entry give William & Ann Marrying on 12 Jan 1772 in Stradbroke.
Does anybody have any connections to this family, or can confirm/dny the above IGI entries are for my Sarah ?
