Have been searching for Daniel desc for a long time...my mistake was looking for STANNARD. I believe that Daniel's brother Albert is our connection. Albert was my gr gr grandfather. When Daniel left MA in 1853(??) with Laura (2nd wife) and their son (Edson b 1852) and youngest dau by Phoebe (Phoebe Exene), he left behind 2nd youngest dau (ELLEN). We don't know why. Other children (sons) were older and on own. ELLEN went to Newark Valley, NY to live with Uncle ALBERT STANNARD. Albert had left New Marlboro, MA in the early 1850's and settled in Newark Valley, NY. His homestaed was kept in the family until 1953 when my grtandfather sold it.
Ellen married Albert's son John (her cousin)Aug 25, 1869 and had son Roy (my grandfather) and dau Gracie Estelle (who died at 3 yr in 1877). They then adopted 2 dau. One also died as a child. I haave info on other adopted dau and her family (Mamie Jayne).
I found Daniel's dau Phoebe thru my next door neighbor ( I live in WA and she grew up in KS). I have Phoebe's list of desc and her residence when she died. I found Daniel's death certif. My problem is that we have not been able to identify Albert and Daniel's father. We narrowed it down to Gehiel or John who were in New Marloboro at the time. Also thought that George (who left MA in early 1850's) was their bro. But he might be a cousin. I have lots of data on his family from time they settled in Wellington, OHIO.
