Lucey and Henry Sparrow lived in Mercer/Boyle County, KY for over 30 years. Some of their children lived in Anderson and Nelson Counties as well as other parts of Kentucky. The Forkland Community Center, located in the area of Boyle County that was home to the Sparrows, has received a grant from the Abraham Lincoln Commission to write a book about the Sparrow/Shipley family connection to Abraham Lincoln. The group is in the process of gathering family history information related to the descendants of Henry and Lucey Sparrow.
