This is a bit of a stretch, but I've been tracing a Summers family from Glasgow. John Summers, b. 1855, is listed in the 1881 Scotland Census as a "Master plumber with 1 employee and 1 boy." He has a wife Catherine, a daughter Catherine (2 years old) and a son William (7 months old). This record is easy to locate in an ancestry.com search if you want to look at it.
He and family, including several more kids and a son-in-law and grandson, immigrated to Saskatchewan in 1904. Oral history claimed that several women descendents had the middle name of Cameron because someone was from the Cameron Clan. When I finally located both John's and Catherine's death certificates, each had a mother whose maiden name was Cameron.
Please check your records and see if any connection is possible - I've finally gotten back across the Atlantic and made very little progress on the Scotland end yet.
