Hi,
I think I may be a decedent of Alfred E. Smith.
My grandmother is V. Jeanne Pfeiffer Smith, her father was Alfred Smith of NYC, married to Mae Agusta Mueller? Smith. If related, Alfred E. Smith Sr. would be my grandmother's great-grandfather.

I know that Alfred E. Smith II was Catholic, and my great-grandparents were very involved in the NYC Catholic church and in NYC politics in the 1930's, 40's and early 50's.

I know very little about my family history on this side and I have run into a lot of roadblocks in finding out. It would mean a great deal to me to find out more information.
