Lucy Smith and Ann Smith-Louisa Co., VA-1770s

Lucy Smith married Clevears/Cluverius Duke in Louisa Co., VA in 1770. Richard Johnson married Ann Smith in the home of the above-referenced Mr. Duke, and this marriage was probably around 1771-1773. Does anyone know to which Smith family these two women belonged?

It appears that Thomas Ballard Smith (born 1710; married Anne Meriwether) "found his way" to Louisa Co., VA, but with the Smith surname being so common, it is quite likely that this was not the only Smith family in the area by 1770.

Note: The above Mr. Duke married several times, and in 1778, he married an Elizabeth Barbour Johnson (I am not sure how/if she was related to the above Richard Johnson who had married Ann Smith). There were also several Johnson/Garrett marriages in Louisa Co., VA in the 1700s, and I note that there was a Garrett Smith in the county eventually.
