hi douglas,

About a year ago I was in Salt Lake and visited the LDS genealogy center. I found James and Fanny and thought James was from Mass but other sources show him to be from New york.
They did have the kids mentioned. Ervin is our descendant.
His name was actually Irvin James who married Maria Chapin.
They had Roy h. SLattery and others. Roy Had Irvin Beaumont who married katherine Deboor. Kay died in 1967-68. He then married Eliose Jones. Irv and Kay had William Beaumont and ROnald Slattery. Ronald died in 1962-4 in a plane crash in Nebraska. William married Dorothy Roberts in Omaha in 1958 The had Joseph Martin, Marc Beaumont, Matthew Robert, Marsha Sue, and Michael James. They live in Midland Texas. Matthew married me. Molly Handley in Odessa Texas 1984. We have William Owen, Thomas Irvin, Marianne, Matthew Robert II. Willim is married to Britany Sweeney of Evergreen Colorado they have Gwenn Maria and one on the way. We all live in Evergreen Colorado. I have more info on the family but that connects the generations to who you are talking to.
I know the family originated from county Clare. But I have yet to make the connection. I know according to Slattery family stories We had an ancestor that was in the Revolutionary war. Our family branch is protestant and came here after the protestant/ catholic split. We are not LDS nor is any other member of our family that I know of. We hale from presbyterian back ground however my family is Charismatic Christians as well as Marty (Joseph Martin).
