Dear Evelyn, I think it is the same family. Thomas and Catherine do not show up on the 1880 Boston MA census. Did they survive? Do we have any record of them after their birth? This is the information I have so far. I do know at some point that the Slattery family moved to Boston. Something tells me this is the right family. Call it a sixth sense! She died in Boston in 1889. Her husband John Slattery died in 1909 in Boston. I remember hearing stories about a restaurant in Boston called Slattery's and my uncle told me they were realtives. If this is the same family, Margaret would have been 38 when she had Nettie. And just about 21 when she had her first child Thomas. My ancestor is Eliza J Slattery and I think it's quite possible that the Slattery's knew the Kearney's or possibly that Joseph met Eliza when her family was moving to Boston. Eliza Slattery and Joseph McKearney were married between 1882-1883. Their first child, Blanche was born in 1884. They went on to have John, who died at age 11, and Helen, who is my ggrandmother. Thank you very much for your help. I will try to do more research and if you find anything more, I would greatly appreciate it if you would send it on. I really appreciate your help. Have a good day!
