Hi Kevin:
There was a book published by T.P. Slattery in 1970. It was about the assassination of D'Arcy McGee and is titled "They Got to Find Me Guilty Yet". T.P. Slattery was a lawyer in Montreal, Quebec.
T.P. Slattery mentions (if I remember correctly) that his father was John Slattery who was a grocer in Griffiths Town (sp?), Ottawa, which was still Bytown at that time.
Do any of your Slatterys go back to a Bridget O'Brien (born about 1795 and from Co.Clare)?
Does this help?
