Hi Rob
I don't know about Corofin itself, but I know that my ggrandfather John Charles Slattery was enlisted to the Royal Munster Fusiliers in the parish of Corofin in 1887. He came from Ennis Co.Clare, where I think there were several Slatterys' at that time. Could your John have originated from the surrounding areas of Corofin rather than Corofin itself?
