No not that I know of. My family are originally from east Clare around Tulla and O'Callaghan's Mills. They moved to Ennis in the 1920s and have lived there since. But there are many good resources in the library web page which should help you. There is also genealogy centre in Corofin itself which might give you some help. I noticed that there was no mention of a John in that family in 1901. Perhaps he was born after the census or maybe it was another family in the area. You could also check out the surrounding parishes in the Corofin area. Corofin is only 8 miles from where I live but I can't recall hearing of Slatterys there. I checked the phone book and didn't see a name from there. I have a friend who lives there that I can ask.

Where are you situated?

Regards
