John Joseph SLATTERY, Corofin, B 1901 D 1985

Hi, I am the oldest son of John Joseph Slattery from his (second) marriage in Australia to Evelyn Betty Carter. My dad was born and raised in Corofin, Co Clare and left in 1914. He joined the British Army and fought in France in WWI, when de-mobilised left to come to Australia in 1920/1.

I know that there are other siblings (I have a brother Richard Edwin) and four sisters. I have met two others from dad's first marriage and a cousin.

What I'd like to know is, do I have any living relatives in Ireland? I have tried to start a trace of the tree, but was unable to get far. It seems that records were lost in a fire in Dublin many years ago.

Hope someone can help.
