Henry Kiest, Jr. had 4 wives, I believe this Maria was the first, m. say 1859 she died at age 32 of consumption in Downers Grove, DuPage Co. Ill. on 18 Nov 1870. She left her parents and 7 sisters. From the obituary in "Der Christliche Botschafter", p. 90, a German language newspaper, perhaps from Ohio. Other names AXLINE and CHALFANT. Do any of these names sound familiar to anyone ?
Also, Henry's wife of the 1880 census of Chicage was Thusnelda (-), aged 42, born in PA, as were her parents.
