I am searching for information on a John Schmitt born in Germany who was married to a Maria Anna Grom, also of Germany, settled at one point somewhere in IL and had 2 children there, John born about 1858, and Christine born 1/16/1857, moved on to Mo and had 2 more children Maria Anna and Francis. Any information including any knowledge of the whereabouts in IL or Germany would be much appreciated. Thank you.
