Jacob "Jake" Schmitt my great grandfather, birth Dec. 6, 1850 Doerbach, Rhineland, Germany, died Sept. 13, 1927 Jordan, Scott county Mn. wife Margareta Becker birth July 27, 1855. died Jan. 10, 1909 Belle Plaine, Mn. Together they had 14 children.
