Hi Ellanor, I do not think that William ever lived in Iowa. I know for sure that Anna never did. William's sisters name was, Emma born March 1846. I also found out recently that William had another sister, Anna Schaack. Does that help determine whether our lines connect? There daughter Betty did married a E.B. Fenton and settled in Anamosa Iowa for sometime. Let me know! Karla Schmitt
