Carl was born in Furstenfelde, Brandenburg, Prussia - he and his wife settled in Lomira, Wisconsin and one of his children, Anna Merrie was my gggrandmother. Anna born (August7, 1854) married Gottlieb Goettel who was born in Fahlenwerder, Kreis Soldin, Brandenburg Prussia on Jan.7, 1850. Anna and Gottlieb Goettel settled near Lansing, Iowa. Did Anna's father have brothers and sisters????
