Helen, I just came across your msg. I'm researching my gfather, Edwin SCHMIDT, b. 4-Jun-1891, d. 30-May-1918. So far, seems my ggrandfather is Carl SCHMIDT, born c.1849/1850. Traced his immigration to 12-Apr-1881 thru Castle Gardens (NY?) on SS Westphalia with "Wilhe," approx same age, who I thought was his wife. Maybe is his sister. Not certain about other names you listed. "My" Carl resided in Montello, WI, per (WI) 1905 and (Fed) 1910 and 1920 censuses.
