This isn't a relative of mine, her obit just happened to be on a page I copied for a different name. Newspaper not named or dated, death date not provided. From Brandon Historical Society, Brandon, Fond du Lac Co., Wisconsin. WITT Augusta Schmidt was born June 3, 1871, in Germany, and was married to Frank Witt, April 19, 1892, coming to America the same year. They first settled in Detroit, Mich., and two years later came to Brandon, which place has since been the family home. Eleven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Witt, of whom nine are still living. Their oldest child died in Detroit and an infant child in Brandon. The children living are: William of Ripon, Mrs. Anna Cahoon of Marquette, Elsie, Otto, Emma, Leona, Minna, Herbert and Walter at home. Mrs Cahoon was not able to be present on account of illness. Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Witt is survived by one grandchild, two brothers and one sister in Germany, and one brother in Paynesville, Minn. Mrs. Witt suffered a stroke of paralysis about four years ago, and since that time she has been in poor health, suffering another stroke two years ago and a third which ended her life at an early hour Tuesday morning, Feb. 19. Funeral Services were held from the home at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon and from the M.E. church at 2 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.S. Ellis. The floral offerings were many and beautiful and the large concourse of friends gathered to pay a last tribute of respect, testified to the esteem in which she was held. She was a quiet, home loving woman, one whose every thought was for the welfare of her husband and children, who will long miss her loving ministrations. Her remains were laid to rest in the Brandon Cemetery. **(The Brandon Cemetery is transcribed online). Notify Administrator about this message?
