Nicolas Schmidt was born in Rosport Luxembourg in 1836. In 1869 he married Elizabetha Helfin in Echternach, Luxembourg. I have no info about what happened to Elizabetha but in 1882 Nicolas Schmidt arrived in New York aboard the Peter de Connick in 1882. Record shows he had two sons that accompanied him: Christian born 1869 and Edouard Adam born 1872. They came to New Trier MN where Nicolas died in Feb 1894 and is buried at St. Mary's in New Trier. I have a photo of Edward where he is an older man but no date when it was taken. To date after much searching I have been unable to find anything concerning these two sons. I would love to contact anyone who may know something to put this puzzle in place. Thank you. Lorie
