I have recently started reasearching my family to complete my family tree and I have hit a brick wall with my great-uncle. His name is Jessie Eugene Dyer born February 4, 1926 in Pinckneville, Perry County, Illinois. He was adopted by my great-grandmother and my great-step-grandfather Omah Bessie (Armstrong) Dyer and Emery B. Dyer. It is rumored through family that he was raised by them and then once he got older he found that he was adopted and was actually the child of his brother Joseph Eugene Schmidt and a woman in which he had a tryst with. It is also rumored that once he found out about this he married a woman from Germany possibly named Doris (last name unknown) and they married around April 18, 1952. Even though he's only an uncle I still have alot of questions,
Where he went, if he is still alive and if so how come he has never been in touch with his family?
