Searching for information about Johannes Schmidt, born 21 September 1829 in Heimbach, County of Ziegenhain in Hesse-Cassel area. Emigrated in 1849 on ship Bessel with destination Upper-Canada. Relatives of him emigrated also to this area as well as other people from his homeplace area. Names of these homeplaces could be e.g. also Schiffelbach, Gilserberg, Itzenhain, Appenhain, Lischeid, Winterscheid, Sebbeterode, Schonau, Moischeid. Family names of the other people can be e.g. Trummner, Thiel, Wagner, Nebe, Ruppert, Homberger.
